Happy New Year friends!
Upgrade your tee with sexy bows and peek-a-boo details for a badass workout or play date.
I had a photoshoot coming up and all my shirts were dirty (of course). So I took this tee and upgraded it at work on the fly. Ironically enough there's no sewing machine in the office (and I work for a clothing company, go figure). So fabric glue came into my rescue. Also I realized that tape makes a pretty good point marker since it works for any color.
I hope you guys enjoy this one.
Wearing your shirt and sports bra, find the underside of
your bra below center of neck. Mark with a piece of tape.
Wearing your shirt and sports bra, find the underside of your bra below center of neck. Mark with a piece of tape.
Find your lowest armhole point along the side seams. I’d normally
mark the top of the bra line (it gets lower). Mark with a piece of tape.
Take off your shirt, flatten and fold in half with back body
showing. Mark neckline seam at shoulder with tape.
Cut off armhole from your marks.
Unfold your shirt and fold on CB with side seams touching. Make back body as flat as possible.
If you want you can mark your CB neckline seam with tape. Then
cut a half of a teardrop shape with slightly 1” at the bottom (above your tape
area). Stop at the bottom of neckline seam.
Maintaining fold at CF, make front body as flat as possible.
Then snip roughly 1” at your tape area.
Try your shirt on and pinch the fabric at CF hole and your
CF neck seam. If you’re happy with it, stretch the bottom of the cut out are.
If not go back to previous step and make your snip longer.
Once you’re happy with the front, check the back and make
sure your happy with the cut. If you want a lower cut, repeat step 7.
With fabric scraps from the sleeve, fold and cut a rectangle
at ¼” x 4”. It should unfold to ½” x 4”. Beside that, cut 2 rectangles (cut
both at once) at 1” x 2”.
At front, wrap the longer rectangle around the hole and the
CF neck. Glue or sew together at wrong side.
At back, wrap the two rectangles around armhole and CB cut.
Glue or sew together at wrong side.
Remember send me your works and feel free to ask me any
questions.
Have fun!
