SNEAK INTO MY SIGNATURE

I am excited to announce that I have launched my signature collection in collaboration with VIDA.

They approached me back in November and I didn't get to creating artwork for them until...now (shout out to Opus' 28 day practice for getting me off my ass!)

After some careful and thorough (and continuous) research into the company, I decided to partner with them by contributing my artwork. This is mostly my fabric print design (aka surface design), not the typical fashion illustrations you've been seeing from me.

We are so excited! To celebrate they have offered some promotions!

So Who Is VIDA?

In a nutshell, they are a company based in San Francisco the milks off technology and the internet to partner with designers and makers all over the world. With every sale, a percentage goes to the artist who provided the artwork and designed its placement (i.e. this chick *points to herself*). They manufacture on demand, so their products are made to order. The most awesome part (that really sold me) was that they provide education and literacy programs to their makers. So when you purchase a VIDA product, you're contributing to the education of someone to learn basic math, read and write.

For more information and a cool video, here's more about VIDA.

The catch is that some of these items can take really long to make. The modal scarves that are available in my collection will take about 6-8 weeks. Also if you're in Canada shipping could possibly cost $25 (it did for me lol).

Considering my background and my day job, my standards are ridiculously high. It's tough for me to advertise a product whose quality is not up to par with my standards. I only contribute artwork for their use and I get to call the shots on what products it's placed on and how it's placed. I don't get to review the print, actual colors, fabric or even fill out a tech pack (this could be another conversation/ blog post). Basically I already have one of these babies on the way so I can at least receive it before you all do. I will keep you all posted on the product, the process and working with them as a customer and designer.

I dropped everything I was working on to make this post promptly, as there are discounts involved with a limited time.

From now until 2/22/17 (next Wednesday) they are offering discounts to celebrate my welcome!
15% Off using code: Welcome15
$50 Off your purchase of $250+ using code: Welcome50

You can use these for my goods or anything in the website.

I hope you guys at least check it out between now and I guess the next couple of days so you have more goods to milk these discounts with. If you're planning on spending $250, I'd wait it out until at least Monday, as I now put the rest on my design class plan on my high priority list.

This is going to be one hell of a weekend for me, but it's a few steps closer to a dream life that I haven't envisioned for a while, if at all even.

Thank you for your support.
Even if you don't buy now, I appreciate you looking and showing your friends ;)
